My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sam, a 1.5yr old schnauzer (mini) mix who's brimming with energy and a playful spirit. Found posted on Nextdoor being given away for free, it was just a matter of time before she fell into the wrong hands.

Sam is both house and crate trained and sleeps through the night without any problem. She loves walks and is good on a leash but could be trained to be better. She is friendly and gets along with everyone she meets - cats and little kids included. Her left ear is always perked up (foster mom calls it her "antenna), ready to respond to the next happening. She would benefit in a home with another high energy dog that she can play with or be tagged along in outdoor trips where she can release all her energy. She is the perfect passenger princess too - she just sleeps throughout the ride, no matter how long or short it is, never curious to look out the window. :)

Sam has an adventurous side and loves to explore, making her quite the escape artist. Because of this, she would need to be in a home with a secure, fenced yard where she can safely indulge her curiosity.

Sam's vivacious personality and zest for life make her a joy to be around. Adopting Sam means inviting a bundle of joy into your life. Her boundless energy, infectious enthusiasm, and loving nature will make every day brighter!

Sam is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to meet her forever family. If you are interested in adopting Sam, please send in your application to adopt at https://www.camorescue.com/adopt.

All adoptions require a complete application, vet and home checks, and a final contract. Once approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's needs. CAMO is also happy to approve out-of-area/state adopters but transportation is the responsibility of the adopter.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
