My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

URGENT NEED FOR ADOPTER FOR COBALT!  This dog is blue from the north central shetler. he spent over ONE YEAR in the shelter.  he was medically alerted and schedueld to die for losing weight and having tumors.  At the last minutes someone stepped up to temporarily foster blue to save his life. his tumors were removed and now he needs a home!  he is very friendly and playful.  he likes other dogs.  Our temporary foster sent him back, through no fault of his own. He is great with all the dogs at the sancutary, but some of the dogs don't dig him!   a senior dog sanctuary is no place for a 6 year old healthy dog!  We needs a home NOW!!!    This dog is sweet, kind, friendly and deserves to have the best of the rest of his life!  Please help us get back to saving senior dogs ! we can not save another dog until Cobalt has a home!

We hope to start having open houses at our facility. Most of the dogs at our sanctuary will stay for the rest of their life, but we do adopt out the "younger" (under 10) and anyone who wants a specific dog we have.

More about this rescue

We love animals. We always sought out the sick, old dogs that no one would adopt from shelters. so now, as a 501c3, we can rescue more dogs. we can have 18 dogs at our sanctuary. To help more dogs, we started a foster program last year. Our goal is to save 50 dogs in 2021, we have saved 19 thus far and are planning on 3 more this week!
