Phlox– This handsome fellow with the deep, golden eyes is a total love! He often follows staff and volunteers around wanting attention and petting. He is easy to pick up and does not mind cuddling close while in someone’s lap. And, like most all young kitties he likes to play, enjoys wet food, and always looks forward to treat-time. Phlox is a great all-round kitty waiting for someone to love him forever!

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
