Hi! HANK E PANKY here! But you can call me HANK!

Let me tell you a tad about myself then I will let my foster mom chime in.

I am such a handsome boy! I am 2 years old, weigh around 60 pounds, and am German Shepherd mix.

Here is what my foster mama says:

Hank is very loving and quick learner, especially when treats are involved!

Hank totally enjoys greeting people when we have guests to our home and is well-behaved with new people.

During the solar eclipse, Hank was outside on his leash on and when all the neighbors were cheering during totality, Hank sat quietly with me rubbing his belly. Such a good boy!!!

If fact, Hank has recently learned to respond to 'Where's my Good Boy? He comes, flops down, and rolls over to get belly rubs!!! We also use this to distract him from any undesirable behavior and it quickly calms him down.

Hank gets along great with other dogs and likes cats although he is too rough with cats and they don't like him;)

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
