My name is Athena and I am just the sweetest and friendliest girl around! My perfect home will have a family who loves me and will take me outside to play as well as cuddle on the couch with me. I am rather athletic for an English Bulldog, so I can handle a home with stairs and have no problem jumping on your couch or bed. Having a home with a yard to run around in would be amazing and I do great on a leash for walks around the neighborhood. I have good manners and know quite a few commands - I want to listen and follow directions. Going for car rides makes me happy, as do treats and lots of attention! My foster mom says that I will need some extra care - things like making sure my face, wrinkles, and tail pocket are cleaned out on a daily basis and making sure that my skin allergies are kept under control. Other dogs are great to play with and I really like my foster brother, I would do well in a home with other dogs and I don't mind cats either. I am fully house-trained, and as I'm only two years old, I have a fair amount of energy - but don't worry, I like to nap and cuddle, too. Foster mom says that whoever adopts me is going to be the luckiest family ever.

All dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and have had a wellness exam before becoming adoptable. If you are interested in adopting a BHNW dog, please fill out the online application. If you are matched to the dog you are interested in or another dog in our program, you will be contacted by the foster family. Prior to adopting, there is a mandatory home evaluation to ensure your home and family are ready for that dog.
