My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Harold. I’m a very handsome Terrier/Cattle Dog mix about 2 years old, 51 lbs and I’m a shy boy. Sweet and submissive, I had a horrible start to my life in San Antonio Texas, living on the street, trying to fend for myself, and although I’m a big dog, I’m an easygoing sweetheart who needs a family and a dog bed and a bowl filled with dog food. Somewhere along the line my lower eyelid was cut open and healed wonky, but it gives me that Bloodhound sad droopy eye look, so I’m good with it. These days I’m living in a foster home getting ready to make my next move… to find a forever home somewhere in or near Connecticut!

I’m a very nice boy and once I know you I’m relaxed and happy. My foster mom was very patient and now I greet her with puppy bows and a wagging tail. I will definitely need a very patient adopter, but good things come to those who wait, and that sums me up. I’m worth the wait.

* We encourage you to email us your #1, #2, and #3 choices, and we will be happy to help you find a pup to complete your family! Also, please continue watching our listings as we post new dogs multiple times a week. There is no need to fill out another application, just let us know what other dogs you are interested in as they come up.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
