My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Billie and Buster-BONDED PAIR

These are the bestest boys! They are the most well behaved dogs in the car, even straight from the shelter. They both do really well on leashes as well. They both love their people and getting lots of belly rubs and scratches. They are clearly both house-broken and neither has had a single accident in the house. Neither are food aggressive. They both like to graze on food throughout the day and will frequently switch bowls with each other.

Buster is the little old man of the pair. He is a big old teddy bear and wants lovins but he also enjoys napping under a sunny window all by himself. He's not very playful but is a good companion. Buster likes to go outside and explore outdoors but when he's ready to come inside he wants in immediately. He barks on occasion but it's a relatively quiet bark. He's got the cutest little gray face and does happy tippy-tappy dance moves when he's excited. Buster is a little hard of hearing so you can probably open a bag of chips without him noticing.

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
