My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mr. Brightside!

Mr. Brightside was surrendered to Riverside County Animal Services by his owner as the result of a cruelty case. We scooped him up the very next day on April 12th to become a Frosted Face. Mr. Brightside surely lives up to his name! His tail starts wagging if you look at him, and he loves to snuggle. He is 9 years old and weighs 11.5 lbs.

Mr. Brightside went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what he is like in a home. His Fling Family shared:

"Mr. Brightside was an AMAZING fling! He was about the sweetest, most cuddly dog you could find. He was happy to go on long hikes or sit with us and cuddle for long periods. He is great in the car and generally just wants to be with people.

We kept my mom's chihuahua for a few days when we had Mr Brightside. He was sweet with this dog, and played fetch alongside him. We encountered bigger dogs during our hikes, but there was not any interaction. Mr. Brightside did not seem nervous around them. It appears he has no issues with other dogs from what I can tell!"

His Fling Family worked with Mr. Brightside on house-training during the two weeks they were together. They learned that keeping him close by so as to be able to notice his cues helped prevent accidents as well as being consistent.

Mr. Brightside was crated at night and when his family was at work several days a week. They noted he was stressed when alone. Given that he was surrendered as part of a cruelty case and the sad previous life this suggests, Mr. Brightside needs a patient family who will help him feel secure, safe, and loved.

Mr. Brightside is currently on a second Frosted Fling while he waits for a forever home. Might that be with you?
