I’m the big brother Nash, I like to be pet, belly rubs and play. I will be your champion, watch out for you if you are worried, sit next to you if you don’t feel good, play with you if you want to have fun.
I’m pretty mellow for a young pup I’m not afraid to explore but I will check my surroundings before heading out, not too cautious but just cautious enough. I’m really smart to, I go potty on the papers not in my bed or where I play. I’m good with other dogs, I like cats and I know I would be great with children. I'm not to rough and very considerate. I’m pretty brave also, noises don’t bother me I’m good with the vacuum and lawnmower and even when the alarms go off I don’t really care.
I like belly rubs, being with my litter mates, my foster mom, ear scratches, kisses, soft pillows, running around , being outside or inside as long as I’m with my personally . I can even wink!
Nash is estimated to be 9 weeks old and 10 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. We only adopt out animals to homes within 60 miles of the Twin Cities. Our adoption process begins with the return of our pre-adoption form, available on our website. After reviewing your application a meeting is scheduled between you and the pup, sometimes in the fosters home or at a neutral dog friendly place. If any resident dogs are in your home, it is recommended that the pups meet at this time. After the meeting a home visit is scheduled and if everything goes well with the visit the adoption is finalized at that time. A home visit by one of Safe Hands representatives is REQUIRED prior to finalizing any adoption and we must meet all members of the household where the pup will be living sometime during the adoption process.

Safe Hands Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving lives and finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs in high kill shelters. We are now incorporated and 501(c)3 pending. Of great importance to us is to reduce the stray population and need for healthy animal euthanasia through spay/neuter programs, education, and promotion of respect for the furry creatures that share our lives.
We are a small, no-kill, volunteer run organization. All of our dogs listed are in foster homes waiting to be adopted and because of this, we get to know the dogs' personalities very well and use this information to match them to an appropriate home. We do not have a physical shelter.
This rescue is not funded by public funds nor does it receive many donations so it is dependent on adoption fees to keep operating. We have a great need for foster homes. If you are interested in providing foster care, and live within an hour of the Twin Cities, please e-mail us
Donations ALWAYS needed are: dog crates, puppy pee pads, natures miracle (for pet stain removal), Nutrisource brand puppy and dog food, Lysol disinfecting wipes, paper towels, large clean towels, dog toys, leashes, collars and gas cards to help with our transports.
