My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Me and my shadow.” If you ask Jonas to describe his relationship with his sister, Joni, this is what he’ll tell you! Jonas & Joni are a 10-month-old pair of siblings who are the best of friends. Jonas is the more dominant leader of the pair, and Joni is more than happy to be his sidekick. Wherever he goes, she goes. Joni is gentle and quiet, and while not quite as active as her brother, she loves to play by running around the house with him, chasing small balls and climbing the highest climber to sunbathe or nap. Jonas is very active. Much like a dog, he likes to follow you around to get you to engage with him. He loves to race around the house and enjoys every toy that crosses his path. He loves the cat dancer, chasing balls and springs and racing through tunnels. While Joni isn’t much for cuddles, Jonas will put his arms around your neck and give you head butts. He will also climb your legs while you’re standing. They are both very good at using their scratchers! Jonas has an allergy to chicken, so he eats only duck food. By default, Joni eats the same thing. Joni is fine with other cats, whereas Jonas can be confrontational with other dominant cats. They get along great with kids! Joni & Jonas are bonded and MUST be adopted together.

Joni & Jonas were living the farm life before they came to us. Volunteers went to pick up another cat on the property and discovered them living outside with their siblings. They immediately responded to pets and scratches, so knowing they were too friendly to be outside, they came to the rescue to find their forever home at last.

Jonas and his sidekick Joni have been together their whole lives. They rely on each other for comfort and companionship and are truly kitty soul mates who will bring twice the fun and love to your home.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
