My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness! Addie is 11 weeks old and is currently 5 lbs. Her estimated full grown weight is around 15 - 20 lbs. She is believed to be a Yorkie / Cairn Terrier mix, and she is just adorable!!

Addie is starting out with great energy and a very lovable temperament. She’s very beautiful with her soft baby fur and sweet eyes.

Since Addie is just a puppy, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way.
Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training. We therefore aren't willing to adopt out to a home that doesn't choose to offer this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area.

Addie is up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. She will still need one or two more puppy shots, and she is too young for her rabies vaccine.
Extensive new research shows that Addie is far too young to be spayed at this time. When she's approximately 8 - 12 months old, Farfel's covers the full cost of her spay, and it is REQUIRED to finalize your adoption.

Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.
