My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 year old Zoey has made remarkable progress since she has been in her foster home. Initially, she struggled with separation anxiety and fear of other dogs, but she has improved significantly. She is now calm, plays well with the other dog in her current foster home, and is comfortable in her crate.
She is disciplined and well-behaved when the foster is around, showing her intelligence and ability to follow commands.
During walks, Zoey is calmer around other dogs, but foster still needs to be reminded to "stay" and "leave it." She enjoys car rides and watching people and cars through the window.
In the park, Zoey loves playing fetch and has a lot of energy. She is motivated by food, which has helped her foster teach her various commands like "leave it," "stay," "spin," "paw," "touch," "seat," "under," and "go to your crate."
She has improved in sharing resources with the other dog, including meals and toys. Overall, she’s made amazing progress and she is eager to learn more. She’s very affectionate and truly loves her people.
Zoey's new family should have a lot of time to spend with her, preferably working from home, to help her maintain her confidence. She is a wonderful companion and deserves a loving home where she can continue to thrive.

She is up to date on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, microchipped, has been dewormed, heartworm negative, and spayed.

DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

More about this rescue

Pep's Pals Rescue is committed to rescuing shelter dogs and street dogs and finding them forever homes. All dogs deserve to live their lives showered with the love they deserve.
Pep's Pals is named after Pepper, a lab who gave so much love to the founder of Pep's Pals and her family. We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met. We believe that's how Pepper would want us to carry out our mission.
