My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benji is a 1-2 year old, male, Border Terrier mix (we think, who really knows though). Benji is a playful, sweet, affectionate boy who gets so excited each time his foster mom comes home. His favorite dog toys are the ones that are the same size as him. Benji is crate and house trained at his foster home. He joined MHCR as a transfer from a high intake shelter in New Mexico where he was picked up as a stray. Benji is very dog social and would love a canine friend!

Benji is in foster in Denver, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *

Mile High Canine Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3, Colorado non-profit organization established in 2019. We are 100% volunteer run and foster home based. MHCR aims to provide abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs a loving home to grow and learn in until a suitable forever home is found. While in foster care, our dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested/treated, microchipped, and vaccinated. We rescue dogs from Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.
