Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet the ultimate "Velcro Giant," Crosby!
This 2-year-old Saint Bernard mix is 85lbs of pure, unadulterated devotion. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, give him just a little time and patience, and you’ll have a loyal shadow for life. Crosby is a world-class cuddler who truly thrives on being near his humans; whether you're moving from the kitchen to the couch, you can bet your bottom dollar this big guy will be right behind you!
Crosby is a total gentleman in the home—he’s fully house-trained and crate-trained, though he isn't afraid to use his voice to let you know when he needs a potty break. He’s also a natural protector who will give a sturdy bark to alert you if someone’s at the door. Because he loves his people so much, he does experience some separation anxiety and can get a bit vocal when left alone, but he’s a good boy who isn't destructive—he just misses his best friends!
When it comes to four-legged roommates, Crosby gets along great with submissive dogs his size who are happy to let him lead the pack. He’s a sensitive soul who doesn’t like to be corrected or growled at by other pups, so he’s looking for a peaceful home environment. Crosby has been in a couple dog fights, which were the result of another dog snapping or growling first, and then he reacted/retaliated back. A slow and proper ontro to new dogs is a must.
It’s important to note that Crosby wears his heart on his sleeve; when he moves to a new place, it usually takes him 3 to 4 days to feel comfortable enough to eat his favorite mix of Fromm kibble, Fresh Pet, and wet food. So, you'll need to be patient and understanding with this. Hand feeding some high value treats usually does the trick.
If you’re looking for a big, beautiful best friend who will love you with every ounce of his 85lbs, Crosby is waiting for you!

More about this rescue
Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
