My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Sharon! I am a growing girl who weighed 14 pounds at my most recent veterinary visit in April. I have a lot of energy and love to play! I am learning how to walk on a leash. I like to go on walks with my sister and foster family.
I love squeaky toys, snacks, car rides and naps. I get to visit a chubby cat a few days a week. Ripley is about the same size as me and makes a hissing sound. He is a silly cat. I like to nap in my crate with the door open. I love to use a stuffed toy as a pillow. I am learning how to let my foster family know that I need a potty break outside, and I hear I am almost an expert at this! I love to run races with my sister inside the house when I am let out of my x-pen.
I love to run around the fenced yard, go on walks with my sister, and try to sit nicely for a snack. I have been in foster care with my sister, Susan, so I would love to have a friend to chase, play, and nap with.
If you would like to meet me, please contact my adoption coordinator Deb at 928-853-1046.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an adoption application, located on our web site here: http://tubacityhumanesociety.org/adoptions/ . There is more information about our adoption process, including our adoption fees, on that page. In general, fill out an adoption application, and then photo or scan it to our email at tubacityhumane@gmail.com, and that enables us to start a conversation with you. From there, the foster would usually set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. We like all family members to meet the animal, and any other pets as well. We do require a home check. Adoption fees do not cover our veterinary cost, but do help us to continue our work. All animals are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Most animals are also microchipped.

Go meet their pets

Arrangements can usually be made to meet most of our adoptable animals in Flagstaff. The process starts by filling out an application and returning it to to us through email. Some animals are fostered in Tuba City or other locations. We do attend some adoption events in Flagstaff.

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue/foster group located in Tuba City, AZ, on the western Navajo Nation. We do not have a facility. We have two main programs: rescue of homeless animals in need, and a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public. We rely on donations to continue our work.
