My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pendleton has the very best ears. They reach to the sky and have so much personality. This fun and silly border collie is such a great age at 4 months old. He has had zero accidents in the house, is fantastic in his crate and sleeps all night, and is getting the hang of leash training.

Pendleton is a brave explorer. He likes to investigate the house and yard and doesn’t mind venturing around on his own. He has loads of energy as he zooms, rounding up his humans and canines in hopes that they’ll play with him. He’d no doubt be a star in agility or other dog sports.

Pendleton is hearing impaired. He is learning hand signals to communicate and is working on “come” and “sit” right now. He would love someone with herding dog experience who understands the energy and brains of these smart dogs. He needs a fenced-in yard and someone devoted to training and adventures. As with many border collies, Pendleton tends to have some OCD tendencies that are easily directed with training and/or a purpose like agility or playing. He’s happiest when he’s busy but also loves cuddling on the couch!

Pendleton is being fostered in the St. Louis area.
