Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Allow us to introduce you to the remarkable Nicholas, a truly special canine. When he first arrived, alongside his companion “Grand Duchess” Anastasia (who found a loving home with a volunteer adoption pic coming soon), Nicholas was timid, non trusting, showing signs of past hardship. Yet, with patience and care, he has undergone a transformation. From his initial fear to now seeking comfort through hugs and belly rubs, Nicholas has blossomed. He's developed an incredible bond with his trusted humans, seeking reassurance and guidance in unfamiliar situations. We truly believe he has never been on a leash prior to us, and his coat was so dirty. Thanks to Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Concord for taking the extra care this boy needed to get all cleaned up!
Nicholas, while generally amiable with other dogs, thrives in a calm environment, making him an ideal companion for a household with another possible laid-back furry friend. A fenced yard is a MUST for him, and a household without young children is needed, he is too nervous to be around children. He'll benefit greatly from an experienced owner who can continue to nurture his confidence, interpret his subtle cues, and help him become the best version of himself.
A mix of Chow and possibly Shiba Inu. Regular grooming will be necessary to maintain his coat. He revels in love, offering hugs and he LOVES to explore the yard. All he requires is someone who truly understands him and is willing to invest the time and patience needed to nurture his confidence. We estimate his age to be around four years old.
