Dog's Name: Babe Sunflower (SUN0424SOPFD)
Estimated Breed: Lab / Terrier Mix
Approximate Age: DOB 2/23/2024
Approximate Weight: 4 LBS
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $500
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Babe Sunflower! Sunflower and her siblings, Babe Hibiscus and Babe Peony, are the Spring Litter . It is that time of year, everything is blossoming, and after arriving from an overcrowded shelter in Georgia, these cuties are ready to spring into their forever home. Their mom is Dahila, a sweet 45-pound Airedale / Terrier mix (picture included). Sunflower is very friendly, outgoing, and playful. At her young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization. She will grow to be a wonderful companion for many years to come. Please remember that young babies require a lot of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. Sunflower will make a great addition to an active home. Submit an application today and change this sweet girl's life forever!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
