Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Cristie, the delightful diva of the dog world! At just 5 months young and 25 pounds of Lab Mix loveliness, I'm here to steal your heart. Already altered and ready to rock your world, I'm a female pup with a personality as sweet as honey.
Let's talk about my social skills – they're top-notch! I'm a social butterfly who gets along famously with other dogs, cats, and even those tiny humans you call kids. Playtime is my favorite pastime, and I'm always up for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard.
Currently on the lookout for my forever home, I'm dreaming of a place where belly rubs are plentiful and cuddle sessions are mandatory. So, if you're searching for a furry friend to add some joy and laughter to your life, look no further. Cristie is here to sprinkle some puppy love into your world!
FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping.
For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics.
To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

As a foster-based rescue organization, we do not have a central boarding facility for our animals. If you are interested in meeting one of our available animals, we highly encourage you to submit an adoption application. Once approved, you will be able to meet our animals.
