My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sunny
I'm so glad it's my turn to be interviewed by the interviewer lady (IL)! I am a 2-year-old girl who came from a Muncie shelter. I am a great cat with a charming personality, and now I'm staying at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe. They tell me I am a Torbie, a mix of Tabby and Tortoiseshell markings. But the IL said my coat also looks ticked, with a lighter color on the tips of each hair. I can be shy at first, so I let the IL come to me for pets. But I let her stroke me, even while I bathed! I look forward to moving into my forever home. I want to tell potential adopters that I am head over heels for those round cardboard beds that are meant to lie in or sleep in. I have tested all of them at the SKCC, and I approve! I really like the ones that are scooped out. So if I'm taking a snooze and suddenly think my nails need polishing, I can simply use the cardboard of my bed! Another thing I like about the SKCC is the big window in front with the bird feeders! Talk about entertainment! It is fascinating sitting there watching them eat and flutter about. So if you can look into the beds and bird feeders at the window, I'd sure appreciate it. See you soon! 5-7-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
