My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BINX and MOCHI are an adorable bonded pair of young adult tabbies:  MOCHI is a gorgeous female black & tan tabby tuxedo with a dramatic swirled pattern, and BINX is a cute male black & gray tabby tuxedo with spots and stripes.  Binx is a super friendly boy who wants to be in your lap or by your side, and who cannot get enough pets and loves.  He is adventurous and curious, and acts as a surrogate “mommy” to Mochi, who is shyer and more cautious.  Once she is acclimated and feels safe, her sweet personality blossoms and she happily accepts pets and snuggles.  Binx loves people of all ages, and he is good with friendly dogs once he has gotten used to them – but he can bully other cats.  Under Binx’s “tutelage” Mochi is becoming less cautious and more adventurous herself.  This pair will make a wonderful addition to their forever family!

They have been altered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  You can meet BINX and MOCHI inside our partner Wags! Dog & Cat Emporium, 136 Oakway Rd, Eugene OR 97401 (Open 10-6, Tues-Sun). Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at www.CatRescues.org/forms, or fill out a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you. The $280 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
