My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet JUSTICE, the charming teenager male kitty who is ready to steal your heart! His sleek short-haired black coat and enchanting golden eyes are a sight to see. With an outgoing and friendly demeanor, Justice takes on the role of a welcoming committee, greeting guests at the door with enthusiasm and the hope of receiving a pet or two. Quick to purr, he revels in being petted and doted on, creating an instant connection with anyone lucky enough to meet him. Playtime is one of Justice's favorite pastimes, and he enthusiastically engages with feather toys, showcasing his agility and playful spirit as well as playing with his brother FREEDOM (see photo). Plastic cat springs are his absolute favorite, providing hours of entertainment as he picks them up, kicks them around, and even engages in full-sprint chases. Because they are so bonded, Justice and Freedom must be adopted together.

JUSTICE has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet JUSTICE and his brother FREEDOM in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $280 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
