My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nala

Hey, it's me, Nala. I am an a strong, intelligent lady but really I need a partner-in-crime in life. I am 1 ½ years old and really coming into my stride and who I am to be in this world.
Smart? Very.
Motivated? Always
Looking for that special someone in my life who can match my smarts and speed? Yes

I have a history of being pretty selective with other dogs, but I am barely bothered if I am learning, training, and you're holding a worthwhile treat for me; only you will exist in my world then. Not much is known about my life before now but that is all in the past, onward and upward! Come and meet me and see for yourself that I am going to be you're main squeeze this summer and forever.

If you are interested in me, please give my friends at The Humane Society of Sedona a call. I can't wait to meet you! I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home with you, so please come visit me!

Please call between 10am-4pm to schedule an appointment to meet one of our animals! 928-282-4679.

More about this shelter

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
