Hola! My name is CHATA and here is some info about me:
PHYSICAL INFO:
Breed: Stanford Mix
Age: 7 years
Gender: Female
Weight: 55lbs (24.9 kg)
Height: 54 cm (paws to top of my head)
Length: 73 cm (head to butt)
Current Location: MEXICO CITY
RESCUE STORY - I was rescued from the streets of Chimahuacán, Mexico along with my litter of 7 puppies. I was just 2 years old at the time. I am now 7 years old and all of my puppies have found their forever homes. I hope that I too can find a loving family to call my own!
TEMPERAMENT - My rescuer describes me as “extremely noble” and “a dog like an angel”. I am a natural caretaker and very maternal with the puppies at the shelter. I live well with dogs of all sizes and am good with cats and children too! I know that I will be an ideal dog for any loving home.
ENERGY LEVEL - Low - I am very calm and, despite my hard life, I am not afraid of anything. I equally love going for walkies and basking in the sun! Here I am playing ball.
GETS ALONG WITH:
Kids – Yes. Video 1, Video 2, Video 3, Video 4
Dogs – Yes. I get along with dogs of all sizes in the shelter. My best friend’s name is Woody and we love to play and sleep together. Video 1, Video 2, Video 3
Cats – Yes. Video
PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.
TRAINING:
Leash skills – Work in progress. I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success! Here I am on a walk!
House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :)
Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain, Balanced Dog Trainer) to offer adopters 50% off one training session (not including tax and applicable gas surcharges). Any subsequent sessions will be offered at standard rates. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.
HEALTH NOTES:
I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.
I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North.
NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.
ADOPTION FEE:
My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.
WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
