Meet June, the four-year-old brown tabby who's as independent as she is adorable.
This low-maintenance feline is a pro at supervising her humans' every move while maintaining her own personal space. She's a connoisseur of head scratches, a champion sleeper, and an expert at politely expressing her preferences. June loves gazing out windows and engaging with wand toys, but don't even think about petting her back, tail, or stomach-she's got boundaries, you know!
Despite her independent streak, June probably wouldn't mind living with a calm, cat-friendly dog and older children. She would likely need a very slow and patient introduction with any other cats. Originally adopted out in 2020 with her bonded sibling, June recently found herself alone and without any information upon her surrender at a shelter in Georgia. Through sheer luck, we were able to transport June back up to Maryland to help her find her forever home.
With excellent litter box skills and a gentle and charming personality to match, June is ready to find her forever home. So, if you're looking for a purrfectly independent lady with a heartwarming backstory, June is your girl! Adopt her today and let her reign over your heart.

Adoption Option Dog Rescue Inc. is a nonprofit, foster-based animal rescue organization striving to decrease the number of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in shelters. We pull unwanted dogs and cats, including pregnant and nursing mothers and their litters, from owners, pounds, animal shelters and other rescue groups and provide them with all needed medical care in loving, family-centered, foster environments before searching for adoptive families and forever homes. Adoption Option also rehabilitates and trains dogs who were abused and neglected. We seek to involve community members in rescue efforts through volunteer opportunities while educating citizens and adopters about how to best care for their pets.
