On the run for quite awhile, a trap and determination finally snagged Dixie. She stayed with her saviors for several weeks enjoying the company of a toddler, the resident dog and cats. Although it cannot be 100% confirmed, Dixie may in fact be deaf, or have diminished hearing, most likely from untreated ear infections. She can be calm around all the new people, but she takes a liking to most everyone quickly and tries to climb up to give kisses. Dixie looks to be a great catch for a family that will work with her to solidify her hand signals, take her in daily walks and provide for her moderate needs for the rest of her life. And belly rubs are not optional!
