Meet Petey
Petey is described as "such a great dog" and "he deserves more than we can give him." His owner found him as a stray and couldn't turn him away. Now having just moved into a new home with three kids under the age of 8, in addition to a full-time job and college courses, Petey has been relegated to very long hours of crating. In addition, he is deaf and is being teased and taunted by neighbor kids, making his life miserable. His owner has admitted that "it’s breaking my heart to give him away but I know it’s best for him to have someone that can actually be there. It’s not fair for him to be in a crate all day long." Although he seems to be companiable with some dogs, Petey may be too much for small dogs.
