My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hiker's Story: Hi, I am Hiker! As you can see I am very cute. I was brought in as a 3 month old pup with my siblings. I am still here waiting for my family.

Hiker's Personality: Hiker has a great personality he is what the volunteers and staff describe as a "goofball". Hiker will be doing funny poses when he is in his kennel.

Hiker and Dogs: Hiker is a pup who would be best friends with a female dog. His best friend here is a female and they are best friends. Hiker doesn't do well with other male dogs.

Hiker's ideal family: Hiker is love bug he will shower you with hugs and kisses and loves to be petted. Hiker would do best with kids over 12 due to his size. Hiker loves hanging out at our pond area and exploring.

Hiker's Health: Neutered
Microchipped

Tour/Adoption Hours:

Fridays: 3pm – 5pm
Saturdays: 11am – 2pm

During adoption hours we have volunteers available to show dogs and cats to the public. For safety/insurance reasons we can only allow those 12 years or older to go into the dog kennel wing of the shelter. We ask all visitors not to stick their fingers/hands into the dog kennels. Our adoptable dogs and cats are viewable through our website. Everyone interested in applying for a dog or cat must submit an application through our website. We receive multiple applications for each animal. Applications for particular animals are based on best fit for each animal based on each animal’s behaviors and needs. An application not being selected for a particular animal does not necessarily mean the application was denied, but just that another application was approved.
