Our sweet and sassy Shiv came to us from another shelter. Little is known about her past, but it seems like she's had a few too many snacks after dinner. She's a bit plump, so we've made sure she's not sneaking into the cupboards for a midnight snack. Her new family will need to have the strength to resist giving her too many treats!
Shiv enjoys the company of people and receiving affection from them, usually on her own terms. Volunteers say she's very friendly and likes to plop down next to you for pets. Despite her figure, Shiv is a curious kitty and she also likes to play! She may seem to take life quite slowly, but she'll put in the effort to bat a wand around and give it, and laser pointers, a little chase.
Like Shiv from the TV show Succession, our Shiv has an independent streak. This buxom beauty would do best as a single pet, as she doesn't appear to be fond of her neighbours. We're not sure how she feels about small children.
Can you see yourself with Shiv in your home, maybe sitting beside you on the couch, or trying to access the fridge? If so, put in an application! -------------------- The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption. -------------------- Interested in adopting Shiv? It's easy! Just click "Adopt a Cat" on the EHS website (etobicokehumanesociety.com) and fill out our "Cat Adoption Form." An EHS representative will be pleased to help.
