My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Big snuggles, BIG personality: meet Arlo! This affectionate guy is a true social butterfly who has quickly become a fan favorite here at PAWS. During his previous stint at our clinic, Arlo was interning in our Development Office, where he would spend his days flirting with people through the hallway window, "assisting" staff in their work (in the real world he would be a nightmare for the HR department with his demands to sit in laps and be pet), and greeting everyone who enters the room with chirps and leg rubs. As an intern he was awful and collated as if he was trained by a tornado, but Arlo is a total ham who managed to parlay his endlessly playful and inquisitive personality into a temporary position (until a solid, fulltime deal comes his way). Always ready to explore and join you in whatever you're doing -- whether he's been invited or not -- Arlo is that minor kick of spice to your diet that makes everything in this world just a tad better.

As an exceptionally curious and playful young guy, Arlo does have a spicy side that comes out if he’s bored and not getting enough enrichment (either through social interaction, play time, or novelty in his environment). This first came up in his previous homes when anyone tried to keep him from "bullying" his feline brother, and then when he was repeatedly thwarted from trying to block him from getting into an area/space he wasn't permitted. Luckily, Arlo gives very clear cues when he's getting over-stimulated with playtime or snuggles, so it's easy to disengage when he's got that naughty twinkle in his eyes!

Arlo is looking for a special adult-only home with cat-savvy adopters who will enjoy his hilarious and endearing personality. When he isn't in lounge mode, he loves activities to keep his mind and body active, so he'd do splendidly in a larger space or home that can provide him with all of the attention and enrichment he desires! Arlo will thrive indoors in the right environment, and with a family that can stick to setting him up for success with enough enrichment and structure. We could consider and discuss with potential adopters a "working cat" setup outside of the city where he can have even more room to roam, so long as he still gets all of the cuddles and affection he craves.
