My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tina is an absolute sweetheart! Very social and easy going! She entered the shelter 4/5/24 and was born 7/3/23. She is medium sized and weighs about 35lbs. Despite being very young she has a gentle composure that would be great around kids or someone who is looking for a dog who knows how to play gently. Many dogs her age have a rambunctious energy that is difficult to handle but this trait skipped Tina. She is easy to walk, understands commands, and lives to please her owner. She is an Australian Shepard mix which is apparent during training sessions because her intelligence is very high. With treats and petting sessions as a motivator there is very little a diligent owner couldn't teach Tina. Anyone who meets her is 100% guaranteed to fall in love!

HSPC's adoption fee is currently reduced from $100 to $75 unless stated otherwise within the pet's description. Every pet that is available for adoption has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, wormed and is up-to-date on vaccinations including heartworm preventative (canines). Adopters are required to schedule a wellness exam with their veterinarian at their cost within 7 days of adoption. We are currently closed to the public and we will only respond to inquiries accompanying an application submitted through warmhearts.org/adopt.

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.

The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
