My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Adorable, outgoing and friendly lab mix puppy.

This puppy will steal your heart! Wally is an adorable, sweet, friendly pup who loves humans, playing with his foster mates, and napping in his crate. Wally was born with his 5 littermates in the desert in La Paz, Baja California Sur. His mama dug a hole in the ground to protect and nurse her babies, until some kind people came along and rescued them and took them in. Wally was the smallest of his litter, and because he took a little longer to recover and get healthy, his siblings got adopted before he did. The good news is he got to stay in his foster home a little longer, where he has flourished with great vet care, food and lots of love. Now, Wally is a healthy, confident and outgoing young pup who captures the heart of everyone he meets. He loves playing with the bigger  dogs, and they treat him gently, teaching him how to play appropriately. He loves food and treats, and snuggling in your lap on the couch. Don't miss your chance to meet Wally in person at one of our upcoming adoption events in San Diego and Washington this month! You will fall in love with this little guy!

More about this rescue

Woofs and Wags Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non-profit dog rescue in San Diego, CA

Woofs and Wags Dog Rescue was founded by volunteers in San Diego. Our goal is to "Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome" rescued dogs from San Diego and Baja California.

We love Baja and understand that it is a struggle for some of the people to provide a proper home and care for their dogs. We rescue dogs that are running through traffic, starving on the streets and have no one to care for them. Sadly, many are in poor condition and need medical care. We provide that care with the help of volunteers and veterinarians on both sides of the border. Our adoption fees are used to pay for the care of these pups.

Our dogs and puppies are kept in loving foster homes until they find their forever homes. If you see a dog/puppy you would like to meet, we will put you in touch with the foster family. We also do adoption events around San Diego, please check our website for upcoming events.

Our "Baja Blends" as we like to call them make wonderful pets and will shower you with love to show you how grateful they are to be in a loving home.

We are most grateful to those who adopt a dog that has been rescued and especially one of ours.
