Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Surrendered April 28,2024 due to unfortunate circumstances. Dax is 81lbs and a lovable friendly boy who is looking for a loving home with his pal, MEESHA. Dax is an adventurous guy, but also mellow and easy going. He looks up to his big sister, Meesha! Dax is very husky like and he can be talkative and tell you about his day! He loves to play ball. He enjoys car rides and traveling with his buddy, Meesha to new places. Dax grew up as a puppy with Meesha and is now 5 years old, so they are a bonded pair so we are hoping for a home together.

More about DAX:

- Knows all his basic commands, leave it, and shake a paw
- Walks well on leash!

- He is crate trained!

Dax can be reactive to other dogs. He is good with Meesha because he grew up with her. He does well with people and children. However he does not do well with cats.

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
