Meet the Pet
This helps The Rescue Crew with pet care costs.
Looking for a pup companion that finds wonder with everything she encounters? Meet Maple! Miss Maple is a sweet soul that has that irresistible puppy innocence, curious about everything that comes across her path. Twigs are up for examination. Leaves are new creatures to explore! In Maple’s little mind, nature is a novel treasure and she is a happy girl with every opportunity to explore again and again. She loves to play with her favorite stuffy, attack squeakers, rip off tags, and is always up for a game of fetch in the back yard. She playfully invites the neighbor doggo for a romping session to join in the fun through the fence, but when he can’t play she tries to convince her teeny tiny foster brother to play (he would rather play with someone closer to his own size…boo). And she LOVES to ride in the car, just looking out the window. Here is a bit more info on Miss Maple:
Leash Manners: We’re working it! She goes on daily walks and is learning not to pull.
Housetraining: In progress: She knows what to do, but does want someone to go out with her. Rainy days are extra challenging. Who likes to volunteer to get wet anyway?
Kennel Training: She sleeps in her kennel with no accidents. In the morning she is ready to come out for her morning potty break right away.
Vocalization: She rarely lets out a bark, but rather prefers to communicate with you with a gentle nuzzle or a wag of her tail.
Prey Drive/Other Animals: She does appear curious about small critters (pulls on the leash, but does not bolt). She has not been cat tested. She lives with a min-pin and comes across large dogs on her walks. She gets along with dogs of all sizes!
Children: She currently is in a household with older children. However, note she is at the mouthing puppy stage (primarily for play).
