My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buttons is an approx 1 year old, 17# “Pomsky”, that is a Pomeranian/Husky blend. She was surrendered to a shelter in Texas with her sisters from a different litter. She loves to run and chase balls or play with stray pinecones. She can be a little shy but loves sitting on laps. She walks well on leash or harness. She gets along well with other dogs and curious about the dog savvy cats. She does not like to be crated or to be left alone in a small space. She is ok to be left alone in a larger room for short durations. She is mostly housebroken but still has accidents and will need continued positive reinforcement for this in her new home with a new routine. She has not been tested with children but an older respectful child 10+ may be considered. Buttons would do best in an active home who has the time to help her transition into being a well mannered young adult which includes enrolling her in a basic training class at the very least. She is so people oriented that she would not do well left alone for long periods. A fenced yard is required and she may not be left unattended outside for extended periods or when her humans leave. She is not a good fit for an apartment situation unless you have previous Husky experience and are a chronic home body. Please understand the grooming requirements for a high shedding dog breed. If you are interested in meeting Buttons, the first step is to complete the meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms
We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Buttons is spayed, microchipped, HW-, and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

More about this rescue

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can help!
Our mission is to help find Corgis and other breeds loving forever homes, share our knowledge of the Corgi breed through outreach and education, help reduce the pet population by promoting spay/neuter, and educating the community about responsible pet care and relationships.
