Bowie is a sweet, classic brown tabby girl with a white bib and white paws . She came to HART from a rescue partner in Tennessee and is about 1 year old. Bowie was born in a metal shop, and in this dangerous environment she suffered an irreparable injury to her left front leg. A kind employee was able to trap the injured kitten and reached out to the rescue. Bowie's damaged leg was amputated, and after her surgery she began to quickly warm up to the volunteers who nursed her and raisied her to be ready for adoption. Here at HART she is still adjusting to shelter life in a private condo. She is reserved when she first meets you, but quickly warms up and welcomes your attention and petting. She also enjoys the company of other cats. Bowie would do best in a quiet home and would probably like to have another gentle cat's company.
