Hi friends! I am Josie and I am the sweetest little girl you will ever meet. I was adopted from Help a Dog Smile 8 years ago by the most amazing couple. I had a wonderful life full of adventure, treats, cozy beds and delicious food until my owners unexpectedly passed away within a few months of each other. My brother Jack and I have been heartbroken, but the rescue people tell us a loving person or family will come along for another chapter in our lives. I am an easy-going gal. I love snuggles and pets. I enjoy the company of other dogs, especially my brother Jack. I am playful with big dogs, little dogs, and human kids. I have good manners and I am friendly with everybody I meet. I know how to sit and how to use a dog door. I enjoy the simple things in life like a great bone to chew on, a comfy bed to sleep in and walks with my people. I would do well in a variety of family situations with any person that is looking for companionship. I am bonded with my brother Jack. He really does not like it if I go too far away from him so we must be adopted together. He is a great guy too and we are an easy duo so our new family will get twice as much love from us. I have been spayed, microchipped and I am up to date on all my shots. Additional adoption info

Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. An adoption fee (usually between $250-$500) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.

Adoptions can be arranged by appointment or our dogs can be met on the first Saturday of the month at Petsmart, Desert Ridge Noon to 3:00 PM.

Help A Dog Smile is a 501c3 non-profit Arizona corporation and member of PACC911. We are a group of volunteers who all have regular, full time jobs. We are passionate about helping the dogs entrusted to our care and will strive to find the perfect home for each dog. 100% of the funds received goes directly to the medical care of the dogs rescued.
