My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTERED IN: Frankfort, IL
ESTIMATED DOB: 2013
COLOR/BREED: Black, Domestic short hair
KIDS: Older
DOGS: No
CATS: No

HISTORY:
Cutie Pie came from a local shelter who rescued her from a hoarding situation.

ABOUT:
Cutie Pie is a sweet, little lady. She originally came to us with one of her house mates. Cutie Pie would get jealous because she wants all the human attention. She loves a quieter environment, and loves the little houses that are on cat trees. You can find her snoozing in her cat tree apartment by the window.

Cutie Pie had chronic ear infections when she came to us. She has a little crumpled ear from having untreated ear infections in her past life. We were able to remove a growth from her ear and now she feels so much better.

Cutie Pie’s favorite pastime is sleeping on her foster dad’s chest. She snuggles her head under his chin and they nap together. She likes to yell for him so he knows it’s snuggle time.

Her foster dad adds, “She is the sweetest cat that I have ever known. She will lay on you and purr and cuddle for as long as you have. If you are looking for a love bug lap cat, look no further. I will really miss her but she deserves a home where she’ll get all the attention she wants.”

More about this rescue

Lulu’s Locker Rescue is a nonprofit, volunteer-run companion animal rescue working to bring to light the plight of black cats and dogs in shelters as well as the misconceptions surrounding FIV cats. We aim to lower the euthanasia rate of these animals by educating the public and providing foster care as we seek out permanent homes. We are committed to the protection of the misjudged and wrongly stereotyped through compassion and respect, which we believe both animals and human beings deserve.

We are based out of Frankfort, IL, and rescue cats and dogs in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
