Their adoption process
No other additional information. Some of our dogs are adopted as soon as they come up on a "foster-to-adopt" trial period to ensure the perfect match.
Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- People can submit an adoption application
- Interview
- First we do reference checks, THEN we do a full 1 to 1.5 hr interview with the applicant
- Home Check
- Home checks used to be done in person but lately we do a zoom walk through of the home, checking especially the backyard and crate set up
- Meet the Pet
- If the dog is here in Canada they can do a meet and greet to finalize that they are in fact who they say they are and a good match
- Approve Application
- we would send an email approving the adopter (or declining if they aren't approved)
- Sign Adoption Contract
- We would send the adoption contract which they would fill out and send back.
- Pay Fee
- They would transfer the adoption fee to cover transport costs and vetting of the dog. Then they would come pick up the dog from the foster.
