Meet Katie
Estimated DOB 10/2023
Silver, brown and cream tabby
Mama Katie was trying to take care of her litter of four in the walls of a warehouse. When workers heard meowing from within the walls, they found her kittens in the insulation and rescuers were able to trap Mama Katie and move her and her days-old babies into rescue.
We think Katie has been fending for herself since she was a young kitten. She is shy but very loving and leans into pets, loves to body-slam your legs, and will flop over for belly rubs. She does not like to be picked up but wants to be with you wherever you are. She loves to play and is food-motivated. Gets along with cats and dogs. No small children. She is a low-maintenance cat who would be perfect for someone who just wants a loving, comforting energy to keep them company. On top of that, she has the cutest kitten-ish, round face!
If the cat is under the age of 9 months old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $110. covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

We have no facility. All of our dogs live in foster homes. Since we are all volunteers, including the director, that also work and have families, the ONLY day we do dog adoptions is on Saturdays from 1 to 4 at the event.

In order to guarantee any dog will be at the event, you must first complete and return an application to be preapproved and an appointment time set.

Some animals require a vet reference in the applicant's name which means they must own or have owned a pet in the last 10 years. If you would like to adopt a dog under the age of three years or Cat under the age of 1 year vet reference is required.

We prefer to adopt in the Tri-County area first. If the dog has been in our care for longer than two months, the director may consider an adoption at a greater distance. Out of area adoptions are a case by case basis.

We were founded in 2002. We are all volunteers and we have no physical facility. All animals stay in their foster homes until they are adopted.
