Meet Katie – Quirky, loyal and one-of-a-Kind!

Katie is a striking pit-husky mix with a personality as unique as her looks. Independent and a little aloof at first, Katie takes her time getting to know new people—but when she loves you, she really loves you. She’s loyal to her people and very affectionate, loving to give you kisses.

Katie has great leash manners and likes her walks slow with lots of sniffs. She loves splashing in the water, playing with toys and has the cutest zoomies. After all that activity, she loves to take a nap — after all, a queen needs her beauty rest. She’s not high-maintenance, just needs a little understanding and a laid-back lifestyle.

Katie prefers a calm, adult-only home where she can relax and build her trust with you. She is dog friendly with slow and proper introductions with dogs similar in size with mellow energy who give her space and respect her boundaries. Katie is house and crate trained. With a patient, experienced person who gets her, Katie is an absolute gem.

Submit Application

This interest application is how you tell us about yourself and which dog(s) you want to know more about.

Interview

We will give you a call to find the best match and set up a meet and greet with the dog(s) your interested in meeting.

3.
Meet the Pet

We hope this is when you meet your new best friend and fall in love.

4.
Home Check

We bring the dog to your home. This is when we do intros with resident pets (dog intros).

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Pay Fee

Our dogs are vetted, spayed/neutered, current on shots, and microchipped. This fee helps us cover these costs as well as save future dogs.

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers that have worked in the rescue community in AZ for many years and are coming together to help fill a void in our rescue community. We care as much about the people as well as the dogs and want to keep giving each paw a hand until the shelters are empty. We will also provide resources for our community for people to try and keep their pet rather than surrendering them. We want to find the right fit for the people by taking a dog out of the shelter rather than making a dog fit for the people.
