Meet Puppy Love!

Ok, his name is a lie. He is not a puppy. He is a grumpy old man set in his ways. And honestly, maybe that`s how he has been his entire life. To find the loving side of this senior, you must endeavor on a journey of patience, training, and a deep acceptance that this boy will cuddle you from a distance.

Here is what Puppy Love DOES love...
Chasing toys
Hoarding toys (the squeakier the better)
Going for walks
Food
Naps
And testing your boundaries while he sets his

In all honesty, I love this dog. He will grumpily learn when you set limits and the joy that comes from being allowed to pet him is up there with the full bodied excitement of Mardi Gras Day. Because you know how hard you worked to get to both situations.

Puppy Love wouldn`t mind another calm dog in the house. His old age doesn`t mean he can`t find time to play now and then. And afterwards, he is happy to find his own toy lair and nap away until the next bout of energy or angst or hunger rouses him.

Anyone interested in Puppy Love will be set up with our trainer to assist with a new transition and get this boy on the right path for the right home. We promise you he is worth it.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Please fill out the app at www.zeusrescues.org. The app is not pet specific and once approved the application is valid for 6 months!

2.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Call 504.309.2144 to make an appointment to visit out pets. You will get a full hour to visit all the pets.

3.
Take the Pet Home

You get a one week trial visit to take the pet home and see if it is a good fit for your home and lifestyle.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Come back in to sign contract, pay fees and get medical voucher for any needs not completed at time of adoption.

We have an adoption application, one week trial visit and contract. Adoption fees are $300.

It is the mission, duty, and purpose to eradicate pet homelessness and euthanasia within the Greater New Orleans Area. The organization is further committed to community building and pet education with a focus on children and the elderly. Zeus' Rescues provides adoptions services, foster care, boarding and grooming. It's first priority is to accepts pets and strays that are facing euthanasia.
