Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer keep me. I am friendly and I did well for my intake exam and vaccinations. Please consider meeting me, I`m looking for a loving home.
Foster notes on Yeti:
`Yeti is a sweet, friendly dog who loves people. She is very relaxed for her age. Although she sometimes pulls at the leash, she responds well to corrections. Yeti loves wagging her tail when greeting people.`
`She was so sweet and loving. Didn`t pay attention to the kids and was introduced to a puppy in service training and reacted well with a tail wag. Loves going on walks and running. She will mellow out when everyone else is calm, loves the windows down in the car, doesn`t bite. She won`t like your face unless you give her kisses first, then she will return the favor. She pulls a slight bit but slows down after feeling the resistance, she is learning to walk alongside me a little bit. Overall a joy to have. Favorite thing: How sweet she is. Overall she listens so well and is so nice, a little shy but the best pet to have.`

Please visit http://www.orangecountync.gov/287/Available-Pets if you have questions about available pets, adopting, or visiting our facility. You may also call 919-942-7387, option 3, to speak with a staff member at our adoption desk.
If the staff is unable to answer right away, please leave a clear message with your full name and contact number. Our staff responds to messages in the order they are received. Every effort will be made to respond to messages the same day, but it is possible that you may not receive a callback until the next business day due to the high volume of calls we often receive. See our operating hours on our website.
-Adopting-
Some animals can be taken home the same day they are adopted, but those adoptions must occur before a certain time of day and are dependent upon several factors. If you are interested in taking a pet home on the same day you adopt, please consult with the adoption desk to find out if that pet is able to go home right away. See more information on adoption and adoption fees on our website.
