My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet King Louis, a powerhouse of muscle wrapped in pure love. Don’t let the tough-guy exterior fool you. Underneath all that muscle is the heart of a teddy bear. Lou, as he is affectionately called, is the kind of dog who’ll chase down a squirrel like it’s the Olympics, then come trotting back just to nuzzle into your lap. Loyal, gentle, and always down for a cuddle, he’s the ultimate jock with a soft side — and he’ll steal your heart without even trying.

King Louis is incredibly friendly with new people - he also likes making new dog pals, but best to introduce them off leash! He loves making new friends and will greet everyone with plenty of kisses. Despite his outgoing nature, King Louis is a southern gentleman who rarely barks. He’s fully house trained and quick to do his business outside, making him a breeze to have around.

King Louis has a passion for walks, where he delights in sniffing and exploring the world around him. His enthusiasm sometimes means he pulls on his leash, but he’s already showing improvement in his leash manners thanks to ongoing training. If you're looking for a loving companion who’ll fill your days with joy, loyalty, and plenty of affection, King Louis is the perfect match. He’s ready to find his forever home where he can be showered with love and cuddles. Could it be with you?

Favorite Things: cheese, cuddles, peanut butter, toys, playtime, walks
Commands/Tricks: "come", "no", "slowly" (for walks), "look at me" "wait for me"(working on this one!)

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
