Meet Giri🧡(It means oats in Korean)
💙 Giri's News Account: @giri_adogs
1.) Health Condition
* Neutered.
* Microchipped and heartworm negative.
2.)Rescue Story
* Giri and his sibling, Hyeonmi at Adogs, were staying at the Gimje City Shelter together, relying on each other. Because he was still young and infectious diseases were spreading in the shelter, Adogs rescued him and Hyeonmi before they grew into adult dogs.
3.) Basic Information
* With People: Is wary of strangers and gets nervous when meeting them for the first time, growling at them. Calms down slowly when given some time. Likes his foster parents despite certain fear and has become less surprised when they come closer to him, staring as if assessing the situation. Still gets a little surprised by touch but sometimes approaches and tries to explore the situation. Slowly becoming more used to it through training. Allows hesitantly touching on his face.
* With Dogs: Got along well with his sibling, Hyeonmi and other dogs at our center! Is a cute scaredy-cat, so immediately lies down in surrender when other dogs play aggressively.
* With Cats: Not confirmed as he hasn’t met them yet.
* Separation Anxiety: Stays alone very well even when his caretaker is away from home for a long time. Rests comfortably, eats well, and sniffs the area. Plays with his doggy friends when left at home together.
* Potty Training: Uses potty pads indoors accurately without marking!
* Hygiene: Stays calm during the nail trimming when being held by those whom he’s opened his heart to.
* Walks: Isn’t used to walks yet and shows a bit of discomfort when leashed or when there is tension on the leash. Dislikes it when the leash is pulled but has gotten a lot better compared to the beginning.
* Car Sickness: Rode well without motion sickness for short trips!
* Biting: Has tried to bite defensively when suddenly touched by strangers. Caution is needed. Recently, he has not bitten!
* Barking: When seeing himself in the mirror or noticing someone holding a treat, whines to express himself, as if asking for it quickly.
* Likes: Loves treats and his favorite is meat treats.
* Dislikes: Is scared of mirrors and men. May growl at them aa a defensive behaviour. Shivers out of fear when he hears loud noises. Dislikes having his paws touched, so hides them or kicks with his back legs.
* Tricks: Mastered the commands 'sit' and 'lie down.'

More about this rescue
ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.
We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.
Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.
In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.
Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
