My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bebe is the definition of a hidden gem. She’s sweet, calm, and quietly affectionate. She doesn’t ask for much, but she gives her whole heart once she feels safe. She recently spent time in a foster home and absolutely nailed it. She was housebroken, polite, quiet, and easy to live with. Her foster described her as the perfect houseguest.

She greets her people with a full-body wiggle and gentle tail wags, then happily settles in by your side. She enjoys sunbathing, soft beds, and the simple joy of being near someone she trusts. Bebe doesn’t need a loud or busy life. She needs kindness, predictability, and a soft place to land.

Because of her preference for peace and quiet, Bebe is looking for a home without other pets and with older, dog-savvy kids who understand how to give her space when she needs it. Once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll see just how special she is.

If your idea of a perfect companion is a loyal, low-maintenance friend who brings calm wherever she goes, come meet Bebe. She’s been waiting for someone like you!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
