My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alberto – Your Sweet, Easygoing Best Buddy! 🐾

Hi! My name is Alberto, though my volunteer bestie likes to call me “sweet baby,” and honestly… I don’t mind it one bit.

I’m a lovable, versatile guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for fun. I adore food, splashing in kiddie pools, chasing balls, squeaky toys, belly rubs, and sniffing every interesting smell I can find. I’ll play with toys on my own, but I’m just as happy soaking up affection or showing off my adorable puppy prance when I’m excited.

Life skills? I’ve got plenty. I’m fully housetrained, great in the car, comfortable in my crate, and I walk nicely and calmly on leash. I know a few cues like sit and come, and I’m always eager to learn more — especially if treats are involved.

I currently live with other dogs and get along well with them, and I have good potential to join a home with a well-matched canine friend. My interactions with cats have been neutral from a distance, so a careful intro could work. I enjoy meeting people too, and I’m best suited to a home with older kids who understand that I like calm, gentle first impressions.

One of my biggest passions in life is tennis balls. I love them — truly, deeply. My favorite game is two-ball fetch, which keeps the fun going and helps me play safely and happily. After a good round of fetch, I’m all about relaxing, taking a long nap, or curling up for cuddles.

Whether you live in a house or an apartment, I’ll fit right in. I’m a calm, quiet companion who loves short walks, long snoozes, and lots of love. My foster says I’m the easiest dog they’ve ever had — a sweet, steady presence who brightens every day.

If you’re looking for a gentle, goofy, affectionate buddy with a heart of gold, come meet me. My teddy bear eyes might just win you over in seconds. 💛
