Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Tatum
Estimated Birthday: 11/1/2022
Breed: Pitbull/Hound Mix
Size: 65 lbs
House Trained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes – best with older kids due to his enthusiasm
Good with Dogs: Yes, but prefers slow introductions
Good with Cats: Yes
Tatum is the perfect mix of high-energy fun and laid-back lovebug. This sweet boy has an easygoing personality and a goofy charm that will win you over fast. He’s just as happy playing with toys and zooming around the yard as he is snuggling on the couch to watch dog TV.
He’s completely house trained and loves his crate (aka his “room”)—especially when it comes with a soft bed. Tatum is smart and eager to please, already mastering commands like “sit” and “stay,” especially when it’s time for meals or heading outside.
While Tatum loves people and is great with older kids, he can be a little jumpy when excited, so smaller children might not be the best fit. He's generally good with other dogs but needs slow, respectful introductions to feel comfortable. Out in public (like busy dog parks or breweries), he can get overwhelmed, so a quieter lifestyle or continued training will help him thrive.
Tatum’s Favorite Things:
- Riding in the car—he’ll want to be close to you!
- Sniffing and exploring the outdoors
- Watching Dog TV and cuddling on the couch
- Digging through his toy bin to find the one
- Enjoying some well-earned naps after playtime
Tatum would do well in a home that can give him both structure and love—a family that understands young dogs need time to mature and appreciate boundaries. He doesn't need a fenced yard, as he respects boundaries and isn’t a runner. Just steer clear of chicken in his food, and you’ve got a happy, healthy pup!
If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with a heart of gold, Tatum is your guy.
