My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

They say that beauty is more than skin deep, and Envy is the living proof! As our oldest resident at the shelter, Envy has become a beacon of hope and a favorite among our volunteers.
Her journey hasn't been easy. Envy arrived at HSAC as a horrific case of mange, but after a long road of specialized care and resilience, she has fully recovered and is now more beautiful than ever. Her transformation is nothing short of inspiring!
Why Envy is the Perfect Companion:
Morning Rituals: She starts every day on a high note! After breakfast and a quick potty break, she is always ready for her favorite game of tug-of-war.
Laid-Back Lifestyle: Once she’s had her morning fun, Envy is the definition of "chill." She is perfectly happy to spend the rest of her day relaxing by your side.
A Friend to All: Envy truly lives up to her name—everyone who meets her wants a dog just like her! She is dog, cat, and kid-friendly, making her a wonderful fit for almost any household.
Envy is fully vetted and looking for a forever home where she can enjoy her golden years in the comfort she deserves. If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-8585 to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.
