My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Duke – A Happy-Go-Lucky, Laid-Back Boy Looking for a Forever Home!

Duke is a sweet, fun-loving 4-5-year-old pup who was sadly abandoned with another dog and left in poor conditions. Thankfully, with some TLC and a few baths, he’s now thriving in a foster home—and ready to find his forever family!

Why Duke is Amazing

✅ Loves People – Especially if you’re willing to give him a good butt scratch!
✅ Great with Other Dogs – He has done well with both male and female dogs (mostly females).
✅ Housebroken & Crate Trained – Well-mannered and easy to care for.
✅ Kid-Friendly – Best suited for a home with kids 8 years old and up.
✅ Laid-Back but Playful – Mostly calm but gets excited for food, crate time, and a good play session!
✅ Silly & Fun – Loves to army crawl in the grass and roll around, always making people laugh.

Ideal Home for Duke

  • A loving family who will shower him with attention.
  • A fenced yard where he can roam, roll, and play.
  • A home with older kids (8+) who will enjoy his playful but relaxed nature.
  • A household where he can get lots of belly rubs and love!

To Do All We Can to Aid in the Rescue, Safety and Welfare of Stray and Abandoned Animals to end as much suffering as possible.

We realize we cannot save the world … but we can try by working with each rescued animal on an individual basis.

Go meet their pets

Because we are not a shelter, do not have a boarding facility, and are not connected with any other agency, we always welcome foster homes where animals can stay temporarily. We also welcome all tax-deductible donations from individuals or foundations.
No donation is too small.

More about this rescue

A Welcome Home Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created to help the homeless, hurt and/or abandoned animals. Our end goal is to place each animal in a permanent, loving home where all their needs will be met. We believe every animal deserves humane treatment. We believe in our role as caretakers, protecting those who cannot defend themselves, speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
